Serie A Badges and patches
You may notice various badges and patches on Italian clubs shirts other than the normal league patch. Below is a brief description of what each of these badges signify.
	Since 1985 this patch is awarded to the Coppa Italia winners and is worn on their shirts for the following season.

	The winners of the Serie A title win the right to wear this small coat of arms on their shirts for the following season. This is where the term Scudetto (small shield) comes from.

	The gold star is awarded for ten league title wins. Currently Juventus (27 titles) AC Milan (17) and Internazionale (15) are the only teams who have earned the gold star, juventus having earned two. There is also a silver star to denote 10 italian cup wins but as yet no team has acheived this
